They can be used against the skin as the gel is non-toxic, breathable and hypoallergenic, so will not adversely affect the skin, BUT not all horses will tolerate this so generally it’s best to use it between your saddle cloth and saddle or to test it out carefully first! These pads are shaped and moulded to the saddle with a slightly thinner depth of get down the centre of the pad allowing the gel to sit up in the channel rather than pushing down on the wither and spine making them extra comfortable for your horse which means a happier horse. SIZING: Standard/Full = 56 cm along top edge & 37.5 cm width at the rear. Pony = 43cm along top edge & 30.5 cm width at the rear They can also be trimmed with scissors to the exact size of your saddle or even a little less if you’d like it to appear that there is no pad under your saddle giving a seamless appearance for the show ring.
