PROTECTIVE PEELABLE COATING (ppc)

1. CURING TIME

Your new Liquid Wrap Labs coating will be dry enough to touch after 12 hours but will take 7-14 days to fully cure. Do not wash your vehicle until the curing process is complete. Only use touchless or hand car washes. Machine or tunnel car washes will void all warranty.

2. CONDITION OF VEHICLE FOR LIQUID WRAP LABS COATING

Should my vehicle have been repaired, modified &/or repainted; I understand that the coating or products applied may not work 100% as they should. It is preferred to apply the coating on an OEM painted surface. We will not be held responsible for any damages or coating performance thereafter.

3. FILM, BADGE, DECAL, & AFTER MARKET PART REMOVAL

Film, badge, decal, and after market part removal may cause the paint or parts to be damaged. By authorizing Liquid Wrap Labs to proceed with removal, the client hereby acknowledges the risk, waives any claims against Liquid Wrap Labs, and agrees that Liquid Wrap Labs will not be liable in the event that damage does occur during the removal process.

4. COLOR ACCURACY

Liquid Wrap Labs makes no guarantee to the accuracy of colors on the internet. It is absolutely impossible for us to 100% accurately display the final color of your product over the internet. There are numerous factors that go into displaying these colors and those displayed on this site are a representation of the final product only. Due to the many variations of monitors, mobile devices, browsers, etc. color samples may appear different on different monitors. Everyone also visualizes and interprets colors different. The lighting and coverage of the colors will play a large part in the final product as well. Many of the pearls offered will look different under sunlight than under lighting.

Gloss & matte/satin finishes will change the way your final product looks. Most speed shapes and car examples posted on our site are with a gloss clear coat. Customers should not expect the same level of vibrancy when using matte/satin finishes. A color sample will be provided if requested. Candy and pearl jobs differ as they are translucent.

5. WET SANDING & POLISHING

Wet sanding & polishing is the perfect way to get the showroom look for your car. Our process removes up to 90% of the orange peel on the coating and any small paint defects. To give your car a glossy mirror like finish. This is an added option and not included with every PPC coating.

6. LIQUID WRAP LABS TOP-COAT

Liquid Wrap Labs Top-Coat is a durable hydrophobic glass coating. I understand that the coating is not a scratch resistant coating.

7. LIQUID WRAP LABS CERAMIC 9H

Liquid Wrap Labs ceramic 9H is SGS tested to be above 9H hardness. I understand that the coating is scratch resistant but not scratch proof. It is recommended that vehicles get ceramic coatings on bumper, hood, fenders, and mirrors after wrapping to minimize the potential for stone chips.

8. EXPECTATIONS

We strive to ensure every liquid wrap installation is without errors. However, because of the nature of liquid wrap installations (slow dry time, number of coats, etc.) there are a number of factors out of our control that can occur while the coating remains wet. This includes, but is not limited to, debris/dirt/hair/fish eyes/modeling/orange peel/striping etc. While we strive to correct these issues before pick up we cannot guarantee a 100% flawless finish. By signing this contract, you are agreeing that some defects may be present in the final finish. In the event there is an egregious issue a remedy can be decided on a case by case basis. Final payment is due on pick up.

9. NO REFUNDS

The Customer will be assumed to have accepted the goods & service unconditionally unless a claim that the goods or service is defective is made within 10 days from the date of delivery. Deposit are non-refundable once service begins or when custom color &/or materials are purchased for the project.

10. WARRANTY

Liquid Wrap Labs, LLC (dba Liquid Wrap Labs) offers liquid wrap installation services to local customers. Liquid Wrap Labs is not a liquid wrap manufacturer but is solely the installation party and makes no guarantee to the product compatibility with your vehicle. Liquid Wrap Labs is not responsible for any mishaps that may occur during day to day life while having a removable coating applied to your vehicle (wheels, grille, taillights, body panels, entire car or any other liquid wrapped product). We are also not responsible for damage of the product if the customer fails to follow proper maintenance & cleaning or care of the product.

If anything happens beyond your control to the removable paint that is due to an installation error of the removable liquid wrap within 30 days of job finish date. The issue will be evaluated and a solution will be reviewed & applied by Liquid Wrap Labs at no cost to the customer. However, if anything happens within that 30 days and you decide to remove the coating yourself, you forfeit this warranty.

Liquid Wrap Labs is not responsible for removal of the liquid wrap coatings applied to the customers vehicle. Since removable liquid wrap sticks to the vehicle’s surface there is a slight risk that during removal the original surface may be damaged. Although this situation is extremely unlikely, there is always a possibility. We mention this risk for your awareness but are in no way responsible for any damage that may occur. By purchasing an installation service from us you understand this risk and absolve Liquid Wrap Labs from any liability.

Proper liquid wrap maintenance is very important on any vehicle. We suggest following the manufacturers guidelines for optimum performance and longevity.  Vehicles with 2k gloss/satin/matte clear coats will have wash and care guidelines available on the site or the manufacturers websites.

4. PAINT CORRECTION

Paint correction will remove most light scratches, swirls, marring, and minor marks on the vehicle’s clear coat. The client understands that even though we strive for perfection, some degree of scratching, swirls, and minor marks are present after the paint correction process.

5. WET SANDING

Wet sanding is used to remove the top layer of a vehicle’s clear coat. Because of the risks associated with wet sanding, Liquid Wrap Labs only uses this technique when there are only 2 options for the affected area: wet sand or recoat. Therefore, Liquid Wrap Labs assumes no responsibility for any repair to the affected area should wet sanding cause additional damage. It is highly recommended that after a vehicle has been wet sanded, ceramic 9H be applied afterwards, to replenish the clear coat to the vehicle’s coating.

6. CERAMIC 9H COATING

Ceramic 9H is SGS tested to be above 9H hardness. I understand that the coating is scratch resistant but not scratch proof. It is recommended that vehicles get ceramic coatings on bumper, hood, fenders, and mirrors after wrapping to minimize the potential for stone chips.

7. CERAMIC TOP-COAT

Ceramic Top-Coat is a durable hydrophobic glass coating. I understand that the coating is not a scratch resistant coating.

8. CERAMIC GLASS

9. CERAMIC WHEEL & CALIPER

If any brake dust or road debris is on wheels and calipers, it is advised to clean it as soon as possible to prevent stains from occurring. I understand that the longer the substance stays on, staining may occur on wheels and calipers. The client is responsible for re-torqueing the wheels to vehicle manufacturer torque specifications.

10. ANNUAL INSPECTIONS

Annual Inspections are the recommended process for ensuring the coating is maintained and care for the vehicle is properly executed. There is a cost for annual inspections ($200.00 + Tax) and includes: hand wash, decontamination, & Ceramic Care+ coating applied to vehicle’s exterior. The annual inspection is required to maintain the warranty on the coating. Failure to maintain the coating will result in the warranty being voided.

PPC/PPF/VINYL wrap/Ceramic/WINDOW FILM/AFTER MARKET PART REMOVAL DISCLAIMER & LIABILITY RELEASE

OVERVIEW

Removal of items listed have inherent risks. The biggest of those risks is that paint may lift due to aged adhesive, or weak bond of paint underneath. Because we have no way to know the condition of the paint underneath the these items we cannot be responsible for paint lifting, clear coat damage, scratches, discoloration, or any other paint defect that is either caused during the removal process or that was present but not visible prior to removal.

We take every precaution to minimize these risks including:

  • Heating the panel with a steamer
  • Applying hot water prior to removal
  • Using a heat gun when necessary
  • Using plastic razor blades when necessary
  • Using paint safe solvent when necessary

By signing this document, I acknowledge that Liquid Wrap Labs will take every precaution necessary to mitigate the above risks, but I do not hold them responsible for any pre-existing damage or damage caused by the removal of the items listed above. Additionally, I agree that Liquid Wrap Labs will charge an hourly rate or a flat rate to remove any of these items and cannot provide a 100% accurate estimate prior to completion of the project. Although we do take the best processes and procedures, please note that there is always a risk of removing these items and could cause or leave damages in the paint. Liquid Wrap Labs is therefore not held responsible for such instances, it is solely at your own risk.

WET SANDING & PAINT RESTORATION DISCLAIMER AND LIABILITY RELEASE

Wet sanding and paint restoration can be used for two reasons. The most common is to remove damage from a vehicle’s paint. Typically, this damage is scratching, swirling, marring or blemishes caused by bird feces, tree sap or other organic material. Wet sanding can also be used to make factory OEM or aftermarket paint appear better by removing orange peel or haze. Compared to repainting, wet sanding is a much more cost-effective way to correct the appearance of your existing paint. Additionally, wet sanding keeps your factory paint intact. In most cases factory paint will outlast aftermarket paint as well as have a superior appearance.

RISKS OF WET SANDING AND PAINT RESTORATION:

Wet sanding removes the top layer of the clear coat. All paint jobs are different, and all defects are unique. The potential risks of wet sanding are:

  • The damage may lay beneath the layer of clear coat that can be removed.
  • The damage to the paint may have caused the paint to be brittle which could then cause an appearance of further damage during the correction steps.
  • Previous work performed on the vehicle may have weakened some areas of the paint.
  • These and other variables bring the potential for burning or cutting too much off of the clear coat.
LIQUID WRAP LABS RELEASE OF LIABILITY

Because of the risks associated with removal of any of these items Liquid Wrap Labs assumes no responsibility for the repair to the affected area should there be any during removal.

WINDOW FILM

1. DRYING TIME

Your new window film will take 24 – 48 hours before you can roll down or clean your windows on the inside. It will take 1 week to fully cure depending on weather conditions.

2. BLACK DOTTED EDGES

Most cars have a black ceramic edge on the side and rear windows. Sometimes these ceramic edges are straight and flat, sometimes they will have a dotted edge. These black ceramic dots are quite thick on most cars and prevent the window film from sticking to the area between the dots. This results in a whitish looking strip trimming the glass. Unfortunately, the effect is unavoidable.

3. IMPERFECTIONS

Though we strive for perfection in our installations, due to the nature of the product, some degree of dust contamination and or minor imperfections are present in every window film application, also pre-existing flaws or scratches and metal deposits on the glass are often much more noticeable after the windows are tinted. Older vehicles will have more imperfections due to their age.

4. WINDSHIELD FILM INSTALLATION

There will be minor imperfections present in every windshield installation. It will be easier to see due to the film being installed on the front windshield. Do not apply any decals, or windshield accessories on the windshield for 7 days. There is no refund or warranty coverage on rainbow effects due to wearing polarized sunglasses.

5. RESTRICTED COLORS

Liquid Wrap Labs does not permit any colored tint.

6. PHOTO RELEASE AUTHORIZATION / PERMISSION

I agree that Liquid Wrap Labs may use such photographs of me and my property with or without my name and for any lawful purpose, including for example such purposes as publicity, illustration, advertising, and web content. Liquid Wrap Labs is not responsible for losses or damage to vehicles or articles left in vehicles in case of fire, theft, or any other causes beyond our control.
